                                          VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN

Report :

       An awarness programme was conducted on the topic " Violence Against Women" which was so intresting to work on. I and sreelaxmi decided to conduct the programme in the form of an exhibition. the students of class 8 A and C co ordinated the programme. the programme was conducted in the seminar hall of the school GGHSS Peroorkada on 25 th Jan 2017.the programme started with the exhibition of posters on the topic " Violence Against Women" .After the exhibition Sandra and Navami delivered a speech on the topic. the co operation of all the students lead the programme to a great success. on a whole the programme was effective.

INNOVATIVE WORK 2

                   

                               INTERJECTION  

 

       I choose to teach interjection by using a model of traffic junction. It consists of six roads and are attached to six smileys respectively. The smileys represents the feeling or reaction that a sentence makes, and it also represents the interjection. Through this activity we can help the learners to identify the correct expression or feeling behind the actual interjection words.

        The teacher asked the students to take a paper from the junction and ask them to identify the correct facial expression that makes the sentence from the model. The smiley is attached to a card which learner can open and identify the correct interjection that matches the sentence.

INNOVATIVE WORK 1

       

                        A bicycle sentence structure

      

           I choose to teach subject and predict of a sentence using a bicycle. The subject and predicate of a sentence connects to form a bicycle.The subject is one wheel and the predicate is the other wheel. Through this we can help the learners to get idea about how a basic sentence ot independent clause is formed in a fun way.

          I gave examples to students and asked them to identify the parts of bicycle in that given sentence.it was easy to implement this activity. 

          

       

Republic day celebration

                                                                   

                                                                      26-01-2017

          This was the 68th republic day and we celebrated it in our school. We had a wonderful celebration there and it begins with the flag hosting ceremony and  later the students of GGHSS Peroorkada sung patriotic songs. I was very much happy to be a part of this programme. On 25th evening,  we stayed back till 4 in school to decorate the school. Programme got over by 11 and We get back home at 11. Am

              Week eleven : (30/01/2017 - 03/02/2017)

           

           This was the last week of our internship programme and i felt a mixed emotion. I was happy that i finished my internship successfully but felt really sad to bid goodbye to my dear students. As i was leaving i tried to complete all my works and checked wether i had to finish any portion in the text. I got a chance to take remedial class for weak students, so I stayed late in school to take class. It was a good experience. I took remedial class for my students this week based in the achievement test. I taught them verb and pronoun and conducted diagnostic test. Then i took innovative class, for that i taught them interjection using a model of traffic junction. The other innovative work was to teach the structure of a sentence using a bicycle. The students enjoyed the class and was very eager to learn. They responded well to my questions and the innovative work was a great success.i felt really happy as i could successfully teach them grammar in a fun way.

       On Friday we gave sweets to all the students and my students wished me best wishes. At 4 i left the school successfully finishing my eleven week internship programme.

 .     Week Ten ( 23/1/2017- 27/1/2017)

         This is my second last week of internship programme only one week more to complete the
Programme. This week i finished the lesson 'merchant of Venice' and manganed to finish the activities behind the text.. i went to see sreelaxmi's class this week. As usual she did well in class. This week we conducted our conscientisation programme on the topic' violence against women'. For that we reached early to school and made alla arrangements. There were altogether 20 charts and we arranged everything in the seminar hall. We conducted the programme in the morning section. Aparna and lidiya conducted a debate along with our programme on the topic 'modern food habits'.

        The programme went well and we managed to finish the programme by time. Our hm gave us all support for us to for the programme. This week i taught a new lesson by kamala das ' my grandmother's house' .my students shared their experience with me regarding their me momories in staying with their grandparents. We had a small republic day celebration at school and we reached the school at 8 am and left by 11am. The function went well. Thus another week got over. I felt a mixed emotion.

Reflective Journal

       WEEK NINE (16/01/3017- 20/01/2017)

     

             This is our 9th week of our internship programme . I finished the lesson 'school for sympathy' by last week and made them do the activities of the lesson school for sympathy and taught new lesson. 'Merchant of venice' by Shakespeare. The lesson was interesting and i used an animated video of the lesson . Before that i drew pictures of each characters on board to familiarise the characters. The class was interesting and students were eager to learn.
       

          This week i went to observe classes. The first class i observed was Aparna's  class. She took ohm's law. The class was good. This week we decided to conduct conscientisation programme and drafted a request letter and gave to head mistress. We decided to conduct an exhibition on the topic' harassment against women'. Then i complete the second observation of lidiyas class . She took the topic 'sound'. The clasa was excellent and students responded well. Then I went to observe another Class of aparna and she took ' total internal reflection'. Thus the week went well.
